A method that combines cylindrical Green's functions with the method of moments using RWG basis functions is presented in this paper. Such method is specified to analyze and optimize antennas or antenna arrays conformal to layered cylindrical media. Its accuracy and high efficiency have been validated by comparing antenna simulation results with FEKO.
Efficiently obtaining cylindrical Green's functions has been studied previously. This paper focuses on integrating cylindrical Green's functions into method of Moments. The accuracy and efficiency of the integration has been verified by comparing antenna simulation results with FEKO.
A new implementation, with a capability of handling intensive computations of cylindrical Green's functions, is presented in this paper. With a limited number of GPOF processes, the new method transforms cylindrical Green's functions into terms of polynomials, which can cooperate directly with other algorithms, such as the method of moments.
Previous studies on cylindrical Green's functions are limited to the conventional sequential computing. With the aid of graphic processing unit (GPU), the computation efficiency has been dramatically increased through parallel computing large numbers of spatial cylindrical Green's functions.
