ZUSAMMENFASSUNG Es wird die Wasseranlagerung im Tabak untersucht. Sie wird in chemische, physikalisch=chemische und mechanische Bindung unterteilt. Auf Grund experimenteller Daten werden die auf die einzelnen Bindungsarten entfallenden Wassermengen und ihr Einfluß auf die mechanischen Eigenschaften abgeschätzt. Abschließend wird die Nullgrenze bei Feuchtigkeitsbestimmungen diskutiert. RÉSUMÉ L'absorption de l'eau par le tabac est étudiée et classifiée en absorption chimique, physico=chimique et mécanique. Sur la base des résultats expérimentaux les quantités de l'eau absorbées par les différentes manières et leur influence sur les qualités mécaniques du tabac sont évaluées. Finalement le problème du valeur zéro pour le mesure de l'humidité du tabac est discuté. ABSTRACT The water absorption of tobacco is studied and classified in chemical, physico-chemical and mechanical absorption. On the basis of experimental data the quantities of water engaged in the different ways of absorption and their influence on the mechanical properties of tobacco are evaluated. Finally the question of the zero value in moisture content determination is discussed.
