Malicious bot programs, the source of distributed denial of service attack, are widespread and the number of PCs which were infected by malicious bot program are increasing geometrically thesedays. The continuous distributed denial of service attacks are happened constantly through these bot PCs and some financial incident cases have found lately. Therefore researches to response distributed denial of service attack are necessary so we propose an effective feature generation method for distributed denial of service attack detection using entropy. In this paper, we apply our method to both the DARPA 2000 datasets and also the distributed denial of service attack datasets that we composed and generated ourself in general university. And then we evaluate how the proposed method is useful through classification using bayesian network classifier.
The evolution of internet have opened the world of IPTV. With internet protocol, IPTV broadcasts contents stream. The IP protocol doesn't provide secure service due to IP characteristics. So, it is important to provide both connect and secure service. Conditional Access System and/or Digital Right Management are being used to protect IPTV contents. However, there exist restrictions in the view of security. In this paper, we analyse existing security technologies for IPTV and propose a novel method to enforce security efficiently. In the proposed method, OTP is used for encryption/decryption contents and CAS controls key for encryption/decryption and the right of user. With this scheme, it reduces the load of the system and provides more security.
Dental properties of polymer composite loaded with hybrid filler of barium silicate (BaSi) and hydroxyapatite, which is a principal component of human bone material, were investigated. A visible light system was utilized to activate the acrylic resin matrix of the composite. Based on the experimental results, it was found that mechanical strength of the composite was consistently increased with an increase of BaSi content in the hybrid filler. And those value rose above the dental specification enough to apply for dental materials. However, abrasion resistance was slightly decreased with increasing BaSi content in the filler. Depth of cure value was 6 to 9 mm applicable for dental restoration irrelevant to hybrid filler composition. On the other hand, there was no strict trend between filler composition and polymerization shrinkage as well as degree of conversion.
In this work, a variety of polymer based jelly phantoms suitable for the hyperthermia operations to human organs was synthesized in order to confirm the possibility of auxiliary cancer therapy. Specifically, using an appropriate material composition including polyethylene, jelly phantoms for brain was prepared and characterized their electrical properties suitable for the monitoring the effect of electromagnetic wave from code division multiple access (CDMA) and personal communication service (PCS) on the human body. In the future, after injection of ferromagnetic nanoparticle into the jelly phantoms, new approach to propose the cancer therapy can be anticipated by monitoring the degree of temperature rise in human body using the photograph of infrared camera.
To evaluate the dental restorative application of polymer composites filled with hydroxyapatite (HAP) which is an inorganic component of human bone material, dental properties of the polymer composites were investigated. A visible light system was utilized to activate the acrylate resin matrix of the composites. Maximum loading percentage of HAP in composite was 65 wt% and the depth of cure was 6.0 mm which can be applicable for dental restoration. With increasing the HAP content, degree of conversion of polymer composites was slightly decreased, however, polymerization shrinkage value was not varied. Diametral tensile strength value was enhanced with an increase of HAP content, however, there was no strict trend between flexural strength and HAP concentration. Anyhow, polymer composites prepared herein have superior mechanical properties sufficient specifications applicable to dental materials.
