The specific connotation of Context and the effect exerted by Context in the phases of information fusion, which correspond the phases of human cognition, are described emphatically.
As net-centric warfare volves,the distributed fusion structure comes to be dominant in the application structure of information fusion system.However,although this structure improves the robustness of the information fusion system,it generates a lot of redundant information as well.Based on the discussion of the three typical structures of distributed information fusion and the information flow chart,this paper analyzes the conception of common fusion nodes within these fusion structures,the reason for the generation of the redundant information,its concrete representations and the principle for the elimination of redundant information.

The concepts of Battlefield Situation and Situation Assessment are presented,with illumination of the level division of Battlefield Situation and the relation between the level division and the three level COP of USA military,focusing on the historical evolution of concepts of Battlefield Situation and Situation Assessment.Our work is helpful for clarifying some confusion in concepts and congnition in the field of situation assessment,and serves some basis for further investigations.

This paper summarizes the concepts and the development process of common operational picture(COP) and describes the establishing process of COP of theater as well as the composing factors,the structure of network,and the major functions of the three-level COP in family of interoperable operational picture(FIOP).Finally,forward trend of FIOP is analyzed.This paper is to offer reference for the technical personnel on situation sharing and consistency research.
For two generations of perishable products with fixed life time, assuming that the price of the newer product and the inventory level of the older one are given, the decision of how to simultaneously determine optimal prices for the older product and order quantities for the newer product with substitutable demand is considered. By introducing riskless inventory level and using the iterative algorithm, the best order quantity police of the newer one and the optimal price of the older one with two types of substitutable demand (price-driven only, and price-driven together with inventory-driven) are derived. Therein the demand for one product or the other is affected by the price levels of both product. The optimal price of the older one is dependent on the expected lost of the older product, and the optimal order quantity of the newer one is dependent on the optimal price of the older product. The numerical experiments are used to analyze the lost profit because of ignoring the inventory-driven substitutable demand when price-driven and inventory-driven are coexistent. The effect of system parameters on the optimal policies and the optimal expected profit with substitutable demand are also discussed.
