The research reported in this paper is to investigate the crack and flexural stiffness of R C beams strengthened with reinforcing steel bar mesh under secondary load. A series of 10 RC beams strengthened with reinforcing steel bar mesh and 4control beams were tested. The result conforms that reinforcing steel bar mesh contributes greatly to the raises crack-resisting capacity and improves the bending stiffness of R C beams. The calculation formulation of crack and stiffness proposed shows good agreement with experimental data.
