Abstract. Phosphoglucomutase phenotypes, locus 3, were determined in isolated leucocytes of 207 unrelated healthy individuals of Northern Germany and in 37 families with 73 children. The gene frequencies are in accordance with the reports concerning studies in other populations.
The determination of PGM3 (PGM2, PGM1) in human leucocytes is carried out using starch gel electrophoresis with a modified method for GPT phenotyping according to Chen and Giblett (1971).
