In 1983, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Parks represented our country in the international horticultural exhibition in Munich ,Germany. Works of Fanghua Garden design inherite the traditional Lingnan Garden style, dismantle some of the limitations and according to local conditions, rockery and water, use plants and stone, frame garden appropriately with the poetic. It is designed and built in a foreign country as the first open-air gardens.It is the first step towards modern Chinese landscape architecture into the world which has enthusiastic response internationally.
常绿乔木,高10～25m.树皮灰褐色,平滑,皮孔明显,内皮层淡红色;幼枝近方形而略扁,两侧具凹槽.树冠广卵形.叶互生,一回偶数羽状复叶,小叶4～7对.下部一对较小;小叶片近革质,长圆形至长圆状披针形,长10～37cm,宽5～12cm,先端渐尖或急尖,基部楔形至近圆形,上面深绿色而有光泽,嫩叶柔软下垂,淡紫红色至古铜色,全缘,边缘呈线状透明;总叶柄粗圆,长约2.5cm,下部膨大.
观光木 Tsoongiodendron odorum Chun 木兰科 常绿乔木,高10～20(～30)m.树干通直,树皮浅灰褐色,皮层略厚.有香味.树冠广卵形.芽、小枝、叶背面、叶柄、及花梗均被黄棕色糙状毛:嫩枝有托叶环痕及疏生白色皮孔.叶互生,叶片纸质,倒卵状椭圆形至长圆形.长8～18 cm,宽4～8 cm,先端急尖或钝,基部楔形,全缘,羽状脉明显:叶柄长1.2～2.5 cm,托叶痕达其中部.
降香黄檀(花梨、花梨木、降香) Dalbergia odorifera T.Chen 落叶或半落叶乔木,高10 m～20 m.树干略弯斜,分枝低;树皮幼时灰色,平滑,壮龄后褐色,粗糙,纵裂;小枝柔软,具凸起小皮孔.树冠广伞形.
榕树(细叶榕、小叶榕、正榕)桑科 Ficus microcarpa L.f. 常绿乔木,高15～25 m.树皮灰褐色,幼枝具托叶环痕;有乳汁;有气根,细长悬垂,或形成大根攀附其干或直入土中成为支柱根.树冠卵球形或伞状扁球形.
