This study examines the role of political correction in moderating the relationship between earnings management and firm value during the Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla administrations in the 2015-2019 period. Political connections are measured by the activeness of meetings attended by the Board of Commissioners (main commissioners, commissioners and independent commissioners) who are politically connected. Earnings management uses discretionary accruals while firm value uses the Tobins Q proxy. There are 18 state-owned companies (BUMN) that are sampled in the study with 5 years of observation. By using warpPLS7.0, the results show that earnings management reduces firm value and political connections positively moderate the relationship between earnings management and firm value
This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning material on building volumes in class V at SD N 1 Kaliori. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. This subjects in this study were fifth grade students at SD N 1 Kaliori, totalling 17 people consisting of 10 boys and 7 girls. The independent variable is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model, the dependent variable is learning achievement in mathematics learning. The data collection techniques used were test questions, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by interactive media, it can improve student learning achievement. Student learning achievement has increased from initial or pre-cycle conditions to cycle I and cycle II. This can be proven by the achievement of complete learning outcomes in the pre-cycle, namely 41.18% of students got a complete score with a class average of 50, then in the first cycle it increased to 64.71% of students got a complete score with a class average of 58.82, then in cycle II it increased to 82.35% of students getting a passing grade with a class average of 71.18. The conclusion of this research shows that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by interactive media can improve student learning achievement in the volume of space material. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika materi volume bangun ruang kelas V SD N 1 Kaliori. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N 1 Kaliori yang berjumlah 17 orang terdiri atas 10 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Variabel bebas Model Problem Based Learning (PBL), variabel terikat prestasi belajar pada pembelajaran matematika. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan soal tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media interaktif dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari kondisi awal atau pra siklus ke siklus I dan ke siklus II. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan ketercapaian ketuntasan hasil belajar pada pra siklus yaitu 41,18 % siswa mendapat nilai tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 50, kemudian pada siklus I meningkat mencapai 64,71% siswa mendapat nilai tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 58,82, kemudian pada siklus II meningkat mencapai 82,35% siswa mendapat nilai tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas 71,18. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media interaktif dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi volume bangun ruang.
This research focuses on analyzing the novel "Jejak Langkah" by Pramoedya Ananta Toer with a postcolonial approach. Through the descriptive qualitative method, this research explores the resistance and liberation depicted in the main character, Minke, as a representation of the spirit of resistance and aspirations for Indonesian independence. Minke does not only fight physically, but also through intellectual struggle, identity search, and development of political awareness. Through critical writing and relationships with nationalist figures, Minke builds national consciousness among the people and rejects Dutch colonial norms to fight for pride in Indoan identity and culture. This research illustrates the collective struggle to achieve independence and national dignity in the context of colonial colonization.
The paper presents finite element (FE) simulations of an unstiffened plate specimen punched by a rigid indenter, to study their fracture behaviors and energy dissipation mechanisms. Load-displacement curves from the numerical results are presented for various indenter radii i.e., 35, 50, 65, 80, and 95 mm. Moreover, the outcomes of this investigation should have relevance to estimating grounding scenarios in which the bottom sustains local penetration. The numerical analysis includes the benchmarking study that is based on experimental data to ensure that the current result has satisfactory accuracy. It is concluded that the indenter radii play an important role in the crushing resistance of the plate, especially having a significant influence on the maximum force. Compared with the 35 mm cone radii, the maximum force measured in the tests increased by 110.97 % in the 95 mm indenter radius. Furthermore, the energy absorption produced by the 95 mm cone radius has a higher value at 32.23 kJ compared to 10.1 kJ, which was obtained from a 35 mm cone radius. Discussions on the effects of indenter velocities are also included in this study.
This study presents a comprehensive analysis using the finite element method (FEM) to examine and evaluate the behavior of fuel carrier ship structure. Sandwich panels are effective structures for use in ship structures due to their lightweight yet robust nature. Sandwich panels used in ship structures have various core shapes, such as hexagonal, circular, and square, as needed. The sandwich panel structure can be widely implemented in ship construction, for example, on the deck, hull, and bulkhead of the ship’s cabin. Hydrogen is an alternative fuel that can replace fossil fuels. In this modern era, hydrogen is high valuable energy commodity, so accidents involving carrier ships could have significant consequences. Hydrogen is produced from liquefied natural gas (LNG), so if a leak occurs, for instance, in a storage tank or fuel tank, it has the potential to lead to accidents such as fires. Corrosion is a significant concern for the maritime industry, as it can jeopardize the structural integrity of these vessels and pose substantial safety and environmental risks. In this research, FEM was utilized to model and simulate the effects of corrosion on hydrogen carrier ships when exposed to fire, considering various environmental and operational factors. Through a systematic investigation, it is aimed to gain insights into the impact of corrosion on ship structural components during fires, such as hulls and storage tanks. The result of this study will contribute to improving corrosion and fire mitigation strategies, ensuring the safety and longevity of hydrogen and LNG carrier ships, and supporting the sustainable transportation of hydrogen to meet global energy demands. No research has been conducted on the structural behavior resulting from hydrogen fires and corrosion simultaneously. To achieve this, it is assumed to use the corrosion properties of steel in heavily traveled ship routes such as the Panama Canal Zone, Barent Sea, North Sea, and Suez Canal Zone. This study utilized an approach by modeling corrosion using shell thickness in Abaqus Quasi-Static and applying boundary conditions in the form of temperature increase up to 800°C and subsequent cooling back to the initial temperature. At the maximum temperature, the most significant mid-span displacement occurred in the circular core sandwich panel, with a value of 4 mm. The axial force in the structure was inversely proportional to the mid-span displacement. In the case of the circular core sandwich panel, the axial force was 96 kN. The most resilient core type was hexagonal because it experiences the least deformation when compared to circular and square cores.
The aim of this study is to analyze the potential of sand as a planting medium with the addition of cocopeat, obtain the dose of liquid organic fertilizer for sand media, and find the suitable combination of cocopeat for sand media. The method used is a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) Factorial with 2 factors. The first factor is the combination of planting media (sand and cocopeat) and the second factor is the dose of liquid organic fertilizer. The first factor consists of 3 levels: M1 (sand and cocopeat), M2 (sand and cocopeat mixed), and M3 (cocopeat and sand). Each planting medium has a height of 11 cm. The second factor has 3 levels: P1 (LOF 10 ml/l), P2 (LOF 20 ml/l), and P3 (LOF 30 ml/l). The initial stages carried out in this research include preparing the planting media, seed sowing (for approximately ±16 days), transplanting, and maintenance (watering and fertilization). Observations include monitoring every 3 days (plant height, number of leaves, and leaf width) and final observations (total weight of fresh mustard plants, weight of upper and lower mustard plant parts). The planting media (sand, cocopeat) influenced all parameters. The optimum dose of liquid organic fertilizer is a dose of 30 ml/liter. The most optimal interaction of planting media factors with the dose of liquid organic fertilizer is sand media, cocopeat, and a dose of 30 ml (M1P3) with an average total fresh weight of 4.14 grams. Tujuan Penelitian ini pertama: mendeskripsikan tahapan penertiban Pasar Dan Pedagang Kaki Lima di Kabupaten Bima utamanya di Pasar tente Kecamatan Woha Kabupaten Bima; kedua, mendeskripsikan Faktor apa saja sebagai kendala dalam Penertiban PKL Pasar dan Pedagang Kaki Lima di Wilayah Kabupaten Bima. Metode Penelitian hukum empiris (non doktrinal), pendekatan kasus dan kebijakan, Pengumpulan data menggunakan, Dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara dan memadukan dengan kajian kepustakaan terhadap dokumen-dokumen hukum yang relevan dengan objek yang diteliti, dan dianalisis secara deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian terdapat beberapa tahapan Dalam penertiban PKL di pasar Tente Kecamatan Woha Kabupaten Bima, Tahapan Sosialisasi sebagai tahapan pemberitahuan atau peringatan, tahapan Penertiban, Tindakan Represif Apabila diPerlukan Serta Tindakan setelah PKL direlokasi atau pemulihan, meski demikian Dalam penertiban PKL di Kabupaten Bima, terdapat beberapa faktor yang memperlambat terutama dalam penertiban pasar dan PKL di wilayah tersebut,. Seperti: 1) Ketidaksetujuan Pedagang dan Masyarakat; 2) Keterbatasan Sumber Daya; 3) Ketidaktersediaan Alternatif Pemukiman; 4) Keterlibatan Pihak Tertentu; 5) Tingkat Kepatuhan dan Penegakan Hukum; 6) Aspek Sosial dan Ekonomi, meskipun demikian kendala- kendala tersebut dapat diatasi oleh pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Bima melalui Langkah- Langkah persuasif Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja Kab. Bima.
Improving the quality of teachers should be a severe concern of universities, including the University of Lampung, by implementing higher education reforms to produce prospective teachers with good competencies. This study aimed to examine the professional competence of prospective teachers in educating students who took the Teacher Professional Education Course (PPG) at the University of Lampung. The study used a quantitative approach, using a research sample of 310 students of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) of the University of Lampung with a questionnaire data collection technique. The method of analysis used descriptive statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS-26. The results showed that PPG students in a reasonably good category were as much as 40%, 25% were in a suitable category, only 6% were in an excellent category, 5% were in an inferior category, and 24% were in the poor category. In addition, there was no difference in the competence of Teacher Professional Education (PPG) students even though they were controlled by gender, age, teaching experience, and employment status.
This study aimed to develop a digital sociology module based on multicultural learning to enhance students’ learning outcomes. The research followed the Research and Development method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The population consisted of 473 students, and the sample included 194 students and four teachers selected purposively based on their previous experience in teaching sociology with a digital module. Data were collected through questionnaires, expert validation sheets, user assessment sheets, and interviews. The results indicated that all teachers had used the digital sociology module for improving learning outcomes, but not all of them utilized enrichment materials from the government. Additionally, teachers showed interest in further developing the digital sociology module based on multicultural learning. The expert validation revealed that the digital sociology module was feasible with a very good rating. Furthermore, based on limited trials with sociology teachers and students, the prototype was deemed feasible with a very good category. A recommendation for future researchers is to maximize the learning process on a larger scale by involving a combination of schools or institutions. In this study, corroded hollow tubes with three geometric cross-sectional shapes and loading angle directions of the impactor are assessed using explicit dynamic numerical simulations ABAQUS. The proposed hollow tubes have three different cross-sectional geometries, i.e., circles, squares, and triangles. To obtain the condition of corrosion phenomena, the direct occurrence of pitting corrosion that occurs in mild steel specimens based on marine immersion conditions in the Panama Canal Zone and the Barents Sea, Russia, is proposed. Furthermore, the loading angle directions of the impactor are also adjusted to 0° and 30° to perform a marine-like accident of ship–ship collision. The data obtained from this simulation are the reaction force data, axial deformation, and absorption energy. This study suggests that the hollow tube with circular cross-sectional geometry has higher resistance than a hollow tube with square and triangular geometry in resisting compressive loading. In another case, hollow tubes with pitting corrosion that occurred in the Panama Canal Zone (PCZ) with an ambient temperature of 27.6 °C turned out to have a weaker wind capacity to withstand compressive loads compared to the Barents Sea (BR) region with an ambient temperature of 4 °C. It is demonstrated with the corrosion modeling method used it can also be proven that a corroded hollow tube whose structural strength will decrease with the increasing of corrosion time.
The bus driver's comfort is crucial. The location of the driver's seat, which is correlated with the seat support design, is one of the elements supporting his comfort. The bus business chosen as a representative is PT Selamet Trans Abadi, which has its headquarters in Pati City, Central Java. By considering the Safety Factor, House of Quality (HOQ), weight, shape, and seat support dimensions, this study intends to ascertain how the characteristics of the bus seat support form after receiving a load or force. Conducting a field visit to gather the necessary data is the initial step in this research. The following stage is to decide on the design criteria based on the collected data. Next, use Solidwork to model the design. Using the Finite Element Method (FEM), this program can investigate design characteristics. The loading simulation under consideration includes clutch engagement, bus brake application, and clutch engagement, whether the support is static or stationary. The validation with two supporting journals is then run as the following step to validate the findings. The constant chair support fulfills the typical value, according to the study's findings, whereas support 1 is the most fracture-prone. The outcomes of supports 2 and 3 demonstrate that the support strength is weak since it is subjected to an unequal load.
Antiballistics are used as personal protective equipment required by military and police personnel. They have been mentioned frequently in recent decades due to the increasing cases of war. Several studies have reviewed the development of antiballistic technology. However, there needs to be more discussion on and systematic reviews of the current milestones of antiballistic materials, testing, and procedures. In addition, compared to other fields, antiballistic studies are rarely carried out by public researchers because research on weapons is still a sensitive topic. Researchers who want to discuss antiballistics must cooperate with the country's defense and security agencies. This article aims to present a summary on and the development of scientific research on the theoretical concept of impact, the experimental approach for ballistic tests on advanced materials, the idealization of ballistic tests in computational mechanic simulations, and milestones of technical apparatus for ballistic performance measurement, over a period of more than 500 years. Thus, this analysis makes an excellent contribution to the field of antiballistics. This article review is based on hundreds of international journals and websites that are still active and can be accounted for legally. The results show that research related to antiballistics will continue to grow yearly.
The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Human Resource Competence, Use of Information Technology, and Leadership Commitment to Budget Absorption in Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency, Aceh Province. The population in this study is all Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency which amounts to 45 offices with a total of 135 respondents. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression which was processed with the SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Science) program. The results showed that the Human Resource Competence, Use of Information Technology, and Leadership Commitment had a positive and significant effect on the Budget Absorption of Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency. The Human Resource Competence has a positive effect on the Budget Absorption of Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency, Use of Information Technology has a positive effect on the Budget Absorption of Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency and the Leadership Commitment has a positive effect on the Budget Absorption of Regional Apparatus in Simeulue Regency. The implications of the results of this study are expected to be the evaluation for policy makers in increasing the Budget Absorption, and can be used as a practical guide for each policy maker in managing the budget.
Abstract This work made a comparison of the effects of selected element formulations (EFs) through nonlinear finite element analysis (NLFEA) and physical configurations in scenario design, particularly target locations. The combined results help in quantifying structural performance, focusing on crashworthiness criteria. The analysis involves nonlinear dynamic finite element methods, using an explicit approach applied to an idealized system. This system models ship-to-ship collisions, specifically the interaction between Ro and Ro and cargo reefer vessels, with one striking the other. Summarizing initial NLFEA results reveals that the chosen EF significantly influences the crashworthiness criteria. Notably, differences in formulations lead to different calculation times. The Belytschko–Tsay (BT) EF is the quickest, followed by the Belytschko–Leviathan (BL), with around a 36% difference. Conversely, formulations such as the Hughes–Liu involve much longer processing times, more than twice that of BT. To address the potential impact of shear locking and hourglassing on calculation accuracy during impact, the fully integrated (FI) version of the EF is used. It mitigates these undesired events. For formulations with the same approach, the FI BT formulation suppresses hourglassing effectively, unlike others that show orthogonal hourglassing increments. To ensure reliability, rules were set to assess hourglassing. The criterion is that the ratio of hourglass energy to internal energy should be ≤10%. All formulations meet this criterion and are suitable as geometric models in NLFEA. Regarding reliability and processing time, analyzing the computation time offers insights. Based on calculations, BL is the fastest, followed by Belytschko–Wong–Chiang, while the FI BT formulation takes more time for the same collision case.
Background: COVID-19 is a disease caused by infection with SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2). One of the body's immune responses to infection is to produce antibodies. Acute SARS-CoV-2 infection initiates cellular and humoral immune responses. The humoral immune response specifically generates antibodies against virus-specific antigens. Several factors influence the immune response, one of which is vaccination status. Therefore, this study aimed to determine and analyze the effect of vaccination status on SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels. Methods: An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 815 samples was conducted. The proportional random sampling technique was employed based on data obtained from the Seroepidemiology Survey. Data analysis was conducted using the STATA version 14.0 program with the Independent T-Test, Mann Whitney test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Multiple logistic regression. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the determinant variables of SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels based on gender (p=0.012), vaccination status (p=0.000), and COVID-19 infection history (p=0.000). Furthermore, the multivariate analysis indicated that vaccination status was the variable most associated with SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels (p = 0.010). The OR value = 0.16 < 1 and 95%CI (0.04-0.65) which did not contain a value of 1 suggested vaccination status to be a significant protective factor associated with SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels, with a probability value of 94.1%. Conclusion: The most influential variable on SARS-CoV-2 antibody levels in the Gowa Regency was vaccination status. Moreover, none of the variables measured were identified as confounding factors or showed interaction effects.
Entrepreneurship education is to be a solution to the unemployment problem. Entrepreneurial character is for someone to act as an entrepreneur. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the instrument of entrepreneurship character among students from various universities in Indonesia who adopt entrepreneurship education in the curriculum. The research focused on the operational process of entrepreneurial characteristics of 23 dimensions. The subjects of this study were 357 undergraduate students attending entrepreneurship education. Psychometry is the research method, and SPSS and AMOS-assisted factor analysis to analyze the results. The results showed that there was one indicator (Kbtp 10) that dropped in the factor analysis because it did not meet the requirements (0.486 < 0.5). For EFA calculation, two (2) dimensions dropped because they were accommodated in other dimensions/indicators and did not meet the calculation requirements. In the end, five (5) new dimensions represent the existing 23 dimensions of entrepreneurial character.
Cylindrical shell structures are ubiquitous and essential supporting structures in various engineering applications. The aim of this research work is to provide a comprehensive overview of the behavior of cylindrical shell structures under different loading conditions, including external pressure, axial compression, and bending moment. The study found that the behavior of cylindrical shells was affected by their geometry, including diameter, length, thickness, and imperfections. These factors should be carefully considered in the design and analysis of cylindrical shells. Additionally, stiffeners and sandwich structures can be applied to improve the structural performance of cylindrical shells under different loading conditions. The work also highlighted the latest research trends in the field, such as the use of advanced materials, and numerical simulations to improve the understanding and design of cylindrical shell structures. Overall, this study has provided a valuable resource for engineers and researchers working on cylindrical shell structures, helping them to design and analyze the cylindrical shell structures more efficiently and effectively.
Stunting is a nutritional problem in the world, especially in developing and poor countries. Stunting can increase the risk of morbidity and mortality, as well as suboptimal brain development resulting in stunted motor development and mental retardation. Karawang Regency is one of 100 areas in West Java that is prioritized for stunting prevention. Based on the latest data released by the Karawang Regency Health Office, the results of the August 2020 Toddler Month Weighing were as many as 155,670 toddlers whose length and height were measured, the results obtained were 688 toddlers with very low nutritional status (0.4%) and 3,720 short toddlers (2.4%) ). Meanwhile, the normal height was 150,875 toddlers (96.9%) and the height was 387 toddlers (0.2%). The cause of the high stunting rate in Karawang Regency is very complex. The determinants of stunting cases that have been collected by the Karawang District Health Office are the lack of clean water, healthy latrines, immunization, the number of pregnant women who experience a lack of protein energy, the number of family members who smoke, children who have worms and families who do not have health insurance. Based on the identification of the problem of stunting in Karawang Regency, stunting is not hereditary so it can be prevented. The main factor is changes in people's behavior. Therefore, the Institute for Research & Community Service (LPPM Unisma) carries out community service activities by making outreach activities for changes in understanding in accelerating stunting prevention in Batujaya District, Karawang Regency. Activities to increase behavior change in accelerating stunting prevention in Batujaya District, Karawang Regency are actually only carried out in the form of counseling and psychoeducation regarding changes in understanding in accelerating stunting prevention by involving various parties so that they can have a positive impact. has an impact on preventing and reducing stunting, as well as providing basic food packages for vulnerable families.
This research aims to look at entrepreneurship learning in higher education. The author concludes that: 1) The parties involved and contributing to the success of entrepreneurship learning are students, educators, entrepreneur practitioners, and the community. 2) The involvement of the four parties is conceptualized in a combination of learning which includes field survey activities, literature studies, the involvement of practitioners, portfolio preparation, and field practice. The study contributed to the development of entrepreneurship education in higher education, to produce a proud outcome.
