Henize 206 is a region of star formation in the Large Magellanic Cloud of the approximate scale of the Orion belt and sword. Our Spitzer Space Telescope infrared images and Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) optical images show that the region is experiencing very energetic star formation. The radiation from young stars has excited strong polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) emission throughout Henize 206, except on the side of the nebula with the prominent young supernova remnant. As is also seen in early Spitzer observations of M81, star formation rates calculated from Halpha for Henize 206 may miss the deeply embedded young stars, compared with star formation rates calculated from far infrared emission. For one of the highest surface brightness regions of Henize 206, we obtained snapshot exposures with the Thermal-Region Camera Spectrograph on Gemini South to explore the complex structure. A few percent of the total flux from this brightest region in Henize 206 emanates from infrared peaks of subparsec scale.
Elkin and Warren (1947) have described traumatic arteriovenous fistulk in practically every named blood vessel of the body with the exception of the aorta. Congenital arteriovenous fistule are much less common. Thus Callander (1920) found only three congenital cases in a series of 447 arteriovenous fistulk. The usual location of congenital arteriovenous fistule in the systemic circulation is in the extremities, or head and neck. Pemberton and Saint (1928) believed that the trunk was rarely if ever affected. Adams (1951) described congenital arteriovenous fistulk of the pancreas, spleen, and kidney, but none in the thorax. Johnson (1954), and Periisalo and Kyllonen (1954), have described congenital arteriovenous fistulk of the subclavian vessels simulating patent ductus arteriosus. Maier and Stout (1950) report a case of congenital arteriovenous fistula of the internal mammary vessels with a hemangioma of the pectoralis major muscle. Other cases of hemangioma and arteriovenous fistula of the chest wall have been reported by Takaro and Claggett (1951).
