The melt-cast MShL refractories of a magnesial spinel composition are characterized by a fine-grain, isometric structure with adequately developed direct contact between the high-refractory phases.
We have studied the resistance of zirconia refractories of various chemical compositions and different phase compositions to the action of a vitreous silica melt. It is shown that the glass-resistance of the articles will be higher, the lower the concentration of stabilizing oxide and impurity in the zirconia raw material.
