Recent studies indicate to the special importance of endothelial function (EF) in processes of the regulation of blood circulation. There are presented data on the influence of physical loads on changes in EF on the basis of analysis of the changes of serum content of angiogenin, vascular endothelial growth factor, fibroblast growth factor, matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of MMP, thrombospondin and endothelin in young swimmers of various sports skill levels. During training activities and with gain in sports skill levels in young athletes there was found that a significant increment of the concentration of mentioned regulators may be a response to intense exercises indicating to active participation of endothelial vasculature of the growing body in a physiological mechanisms of adaptation to physical loads in children.
The present study included 71 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (41 boys and 30 girls) at the age from 9 to 18 (mean 15.2 (13.6; 16.5)) years, duration of the disease 5.0 (2.5; 9) years, and the HbA1c level of 9.1% (7.0; 10.2). All the patients underwent continuous ECG monitoring with the assessment of the cardiac rhythm variability (CRV) characteristics and the QT interval duration over 24 hours. These studies were supplemented by cardiovascular tests and the PWC170 test with the evaluation of CRV and the heart rate (HR) during testing and the rehabilitation period. Autonomous dysfunction was documented in 22 (30.9%) patients. It was shown that the children and adolescents presenting with the cardiovascular form of autonomous neuropathy (KAH+) had lower CRV values during physical exercises than the patients without KAH+ , and their CRV and HR characteristics failed to be fully normalized after the cessation of loading. This fact may be responsible for the high cardiovascular morbidity and mortality rate among the patients with DM1 in the mature age.

The article presents the existing classification of postural disorders and scoliosis, describes modern diagnostics and methods for correction of functional disorders in the spine deformations of adolescents, and discusses the complexity of the rehabilitation process associated with low motivation of adolescents in the training process and solutions, including Tergumed 3D with biofeedback.
Aim. The aim of this study was to investigate cardiac autonomic function as assessed by ST dynamics during and post-exercise in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). Materials and methods. The study included 71 young patients with T1DM. The patients were aged 9?18 years and had no history of macrovascular disease or renal disease, including microalbuminuria. Cardiac autonomic function was assessed using cardiovascular tests and 24-h ECG monitoring with automatic calculation of QT interval and heart rate variability parameters. Each patient underwent the physical working capacity 170 test. Results. The prevalence of cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy (CAN) was 30.9%. The frequency of asymptomatic ST-segment depression increased during exercise in 10 (45.5%) patients with CAN (CAN+) compared with 9 (18.4%) patients without CAN (CAN-; p=0.042). During the recovery period, asymptomatic ST-segment depression was present in the first minute in 8 (36.4%) CAN+ patients compared with 1 (2%) CAN- patient (p=0.0003) and in the second minute in 5 (22.7%) CAN+ patients compared with 1 (2%) CAN- patient (p=0.0095). Conclusion. Children and adolescents with T1DM and impaired autonomic function have increased prevalence of asymptomatic ST-segment depression during and post-exercise. The presence of cardiovascular risk factors in children and adolescents with T1DM and CAN may contribute to the increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality during adulthood in patients with T1DM.
Infantile cerebral palsy is an urgent issue of pediatric neurology all over the world. Adequate choice of the term and methods of rehabilitation helps children with this pathology to adapt to the society and improves prognosis of motor and mental development thereof. The article presents the optimal methods of physical rehabilitation at early stages of a child’s development based on the current understanding of neuroplasticity, reserve capabilities of a developing brain, as well as of pathophysiological aspects of recovery and compensation of the damaged structures of the central nervous system. The authors demonstrate crucial differences between approaches to rehabilitation of children under and over 2 years of age. Despite the selected methods of rehabilitation of children with infantile cerebral palsy, successful results of the therapy require a multidisciplinary approach characterized by early onset, balanced combination of methods of physical rehabilitation and drug therapy, physiotherapy and psychological-pedagogic support.

Study aim was to elucidate effect of graded physical exercise on glycemia level and interval QT duration in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus. We carried out 25-hours parallel monitoring of glycemia, ECG and physical activity in 15 children and adolescents aged 9-17 years. During monitoring these patients performed an exercise test (PWC170). We found that there were two periods of significant and prolonged lowering of glycemia: in 120-420 min and 19-21 hours after exercise. Lowering of glycemia after physical exercise was associated with prolongation of QT interval. Registration of motor activity allowed to exclude changes of glycemia due to physical activity unrelated to graded exercise.
The results of observations of 83 young sportsmen at the age of 10–16 years in order to diagnose their health condition are given in the work. Among the clinical diseases entities in children and adolescents engaged in water sports, upper respiratory tract infections are the most common. Oropharyngeal sanation with herbal medicines significantly reduces the opportunistic microflora carriage in young swimmers, thereby reducing the risk of respiratory infections and improving the tolerability of high volume and intensity of stress for young athletes on all stages of athletic perfection.
