Simultaneous ground-based nighttime spectrophotometric observations of the hydroxyl emission and radiophysical ozone measurements have been performed for the first time in order to determine the concentrations of the atmospheric constituents (N-2 + O-2, O-3, O, H, and OH(v)) in the mesopause region. The methods used to determine these concentrations and the first measurement results are reported.
