In particular, stroke is a major disease leading to death in adults and elderly people, as well as disability. Rapid detection of stroke is very difficult because the cause and cause of the onset are different for each individual. In this paper, we design and implement a system for semantic analysis of early detection of stroke and recurrence of stroke in Koreans over 65 years old, based on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale. Using C4.5 of the decision tree series represented by the analytics algorithm of machine learning technique, we conduct a semantic interpretation that analyzes and extracts the semantic rules of the execution mechanism that are additionally provided by C4.5. The C4.5 algorithm is used to construct a classification and prediction model using the information gain of the NIH stroke scale features, and to obtain additional NIH Stroke Scale feature reduction effects.
The concept of Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoE) was proposed to realize intelligent to thing and smart device communications using Web standard technology. To many, the large scale data generated by IoT and IoE environment are considered having highly valuable and useful information. Increasing requirements to generate new values through data analysis and autonomous mash-up have resulted in active studies on integration with semantic web technologies in the IoT and IoE. Particularly, in order to utilize IoE data in real environment, connectivity and mutual cooperation technology suitable for various services are required. In this paper, we proposed a semantic thing retrieval system in IoT and IoE that can perform efficient thing retrieval operation with various thing metadata and things with states information in IoT and IoE.
Recently, along with the development of ICT technology, there is a significant increase in Internet of Everything (IoE) more advanced than Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technologies that not only connects people and things, data and services, but also provides users with more intelligent and smart services However, it is difficult to efficiently process data generated from various kinds of things and services in this IoT environment. Also, it is difficult to provide objective analysis and knowledge-based services in an adaptive manner in response to IoE environment changes. In this paper, we propose a virtuous circle based knowledge convergence and extension model to accommodate the above intrinsic requirements. The proposed model exploits 1) the advanced information during preprocessing phase got by analyzing the high volume data of various IoE devices on real-time and 2) gives machine learning based learning models and their results during learning model phase to support the decision making accurately. These self-learning and learning results can be generated, converged, inferenced, and expanded with new knowledge of data processing and learning. Finally, our system has the added advantage of providing knowledge and understanding of physical things, virtual things, domains and services, and analysis information so that the user can easily understand them.
Due to the ever-growing amount of data produced through versatile hyper-connected networks, in pursuit of the Internet of Everything (IoE), the challenges to derive useful knowledge from these big IoE data have received increasing attention. This research deals with fusing multi-modal data from the IoE networks, in order to efficiently provide a set of highly relevant input data for further high-level data analytics such as machine learning. We propose a functional structure of such a data fusion and implement a system prototype based on Apache Spark. Further, our concept is validated through the experiments using the KDD Cup 1999 data.
The LED failure rate greatly depends on the physical properties of packaging materials (epoxy). The glass transitions temperature (Tg) of the epoxy is one of the most important physical properties. Therefore, in the present study, various epoxies with high Tg were prepared and their failure shapes were analyzed. In addition, the failure shapes depending on the amount of epoxy and the wire bonding structure were measured. As a consequence, the lower failure rate was obtained with the smaller amount of epoxy. The safety of LED was improved with increasing the Tg of the epoxy.
In this paper, we try to formally analyze risk dependencies on a global logistics process that is made up of a set of RFID-driven biz-steps2. In enacting a global logistics process, it is very important to control and trace each bizstep's execution as well as to visualize its status. Moreover, for the sake of improving QoS (the quality of services), it ought to be crucial for the system to provide an autonomous error-detection functionality on its running exceptions and very safe self-recovery mechanisms, as well, for the exceptional and risky situations. In resolving the QoS issue, the essential technologies might be RFID and BPM/workflow technologies; workflow is for representing a global logistics process in a natural, and RFID is for implementing each biz-step's application program tagging the logistics information. Also, the essential theory of the self-recovery mechanisms must be on the roll-back mechanism that determines up to where the roll-back operations have to be applied among the previous performed biz-steps on the corresponding global logistics process. As an essential theory of implementing a reasonable roll-back mechanism, the paper particularly formalizes a risk dependency analysis algorithm that is able to produce a set of risk dependency knowledge existing among biz-steps of a RFID-driven global logistics process, and that is eventually used for realizing the self-recovery mechanisms.
In multirate multicasting, different users (receivers) in the same multicast group can receive service at different rates, depending on the user requirements and the network congestion level. Compared with unirate multicasting, this provides more flexibility to the users and allows more efficient usage of the network resources. In this paper, we simultaneously address the route selection and rate allocation problem in multirate multicast networks; that is, the problem of constructing multiple multicast trees and simultaneously allocating the rate of receivers for maximizing the sum of utilities over all receivers, subject to link capacity and delay constraints for high-bandwidth delay-sensitive applications in point-to-point communication networks. We propose a genetic algorithm for this problem and elaborate on many of the elements in order to improve solution quality and computational efficiency in applying the proposed methods to the problem. These include the genetic representation, evaluation function, genetic operators, and procedure. Additionally, a new method using an artificial intelligent search technique, called the coevolutionary algorithm, is proposed to achieve better solutions, and methods of selecting environmental individuals and evaluating fitness are developed. The results of extensive computational simulations show that the proposed algorithms provide high-quality solutions and outperform existing approach.

BACKGROUND:Helicobacter pylori stool antigen (HpSA) test is a new tool for evaluating the H. pylori infection. The present study was carried out to investigate the clinical usefulness of the HpSA test in the evaluation of eradication therapy by comparing it with the (13)C-urea breath test (UBT). METHODS:One hundred and five patients received eradication therapy for H. pylori. After more than 8 weeks, the success of the therapy was evaluated by the HpSA test and the UBT. Concordant results were regarded as a final diagnosis, but when the results were discordant, histological examination was carried out. RESULTS:Of the 105 patients receiving eradication therapy for H. pylori, 25 patients were regarded as H. pylori positive by the UBT and and 20 patients were regarded as H. pylori positive by the the HpSA test. Nine patients (8.6%) showed discordant results (seven cases with UBT(+) and HpSA(-), and two with UBT(-) and HpSA(+)). Five cases out of nine were ultimately judged as having a false-positive result of the UBT, and in these cases the UBT values were relatively low (below 10 per thousand). The final diagnostic accuracies of the UBT and the HpSA test were 94.3% (88.0-97.9%; 95% CI) and 97.1% (91.9-99.4%), respectively. When we used the HpSA test in cases with weakly positive UBT values, we were able to diagnose the correct status of H. pylori infection after eradication in 99% of all patients (94.8-100.0%). CONCLUSION:The HpSA test is a useful tool for the evaluation of eradication therapy and a combination of the HpSA test and UBT is clinically recommended.

To optimize the MOD network resource based on cost analysis, including server installation cost, program storage cost, and transmission cost, both server location and storage allocation were considered. In applying the proposed algorithm to the problem considered, many of components are devised to improve solution quality and computational efficiency: genetic representation; evaluation function; genetic operators; procedure. The results of extensive computational simulations showed that the proposed algorithm provides high quality solutions within reasonable computation times.

Background Atrophic gastritis is more common in Japan than in Germany. The expression of anti-parietal cell antibody has been implicated in the genesis of atrophic gastritis associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. Objective We investigated the difference in serum levels of pepsinogens and in anti-parietal cell antibody expression between Japanese and German patients. Methods We recruited 102 Japanese and 46 German patients with dyspepsia. Endoscopic examination detected no localized lesions in the upper gastrointestinal tract of any patients. Anti-parietal cell antibody was investigated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with the purified porcine H+,K+-ATPase fraction and immunohistochemistry. H. pylori infection was diagnosed by the presence of anti-H. pylori antibody, by using the urease test and by histological examination. Serum levels of pepsinogen I and II and of gastrin were measured by a modified radioimmunoassay. Results Seventy-one Japanese (70%) and 17 Germans (37%) were positive for H. pylori. Serum levels of anti-parietal cell antibody were not significantly different between Japanese and Germans in both H. pylori negative and positive groups. The serum pepsinogen I/II ratio and gastrin levels were altered by H. pylori infection in both populations. Moreover, anti-parietal cell antibody levels were higher in H. pylori-positive patients with low pepsinogen levels than in those with high pepsinogen levels in both populations. Conclusions The levels of anti-parietal cell antibody do not differ statistically between Japanese and Germans. Anti-parietal cell antibody might play a role in the progression of atrophic gastritis in both Japanese and German patients.
