Complete head depth dose distributions were obtained from several Panorex dental x-ray units operating at identical KVP and Ma. settings. Depth dose distributions were also obtained on the same unit with varying KVP and Ma. settings. An average-man Rando phantom into which were placed TLD-100 capsule dosimeters was utilized for the study. The resulting depth dose distributions allow the determination of absorbed doses in areas of interest and the recognition of variations between individual Panorex units.
