Vibrio parahaemolyticus is a prevalent pathogen responsible for foodborne diseases in coastal regions. Understanding its dynamic relationship with various meteorological and marine factors is crucial for predicting outbreaks of bacterial foodborne illnesses. This study analyzes the occurrence of V. parahaemolyticus-induced foodborne illness in Zhejiang Province, China, from 2014 to 2018, using an 8-day time unit based on the temporal characteristics of marine products. The detection rate of V. parahaemolyticus exhibited a distinct cyclical pattern, peaking during the summer months. Meteorological and marine factors showed varying lag effects on the detection of V. parahaemolyticus, with specific lag periods as follows: sunshine duration (3 weeks), air temperature (3 weeks), total precipitation (8 weeks), relative humidity (7 weeks), sea surface temperature (1 week), and sea surface salinity (8 weeks). The SARIMAX model, which incorporates both marine and climatic factors, was developed to facilitate short-term forecasts of V. parahaemolyticus detection rates in coastal cities. The model’s performance was evaluated, and the actual values consistently fell within the 95% confidence interval of the predicted values, with a mean absolute error (MAE) of 0.047, indicating high accuracy. This framework provides both theoretical and practical insights for predicting and preventing future foodborne disease outbreaks. These findings can support food industry stakeholders—such as seafood suppliers, restaurants, regulatory agencies, and healthcare institutions—in anticipating high-risk periods and implementing targeted measures. These include enhancing cold chain management, conducting timely seafood inspections, strengthening cross-contamination controls during seafood processing, dynamically adjusting market surveillance intensity, and improving hygiene practices. In addition, hospitals and local health departments can use the model’s forecasts to allocate medical resources such as beds, medications, and staff in advance to better prepare for seasonal surges in foodborne illness.
This study is among the ?rst attempts to understand hotel location choice by developing a spatial framework based on spatial autocorrelation to investigate hotel pattern. By taking Guangdong Province, China as the study context, this research analyzes the differentiation and agglomeration effects of star-rated hotels in terms of absolute number and density at the county level with Local Moran'sI. The spatially diverse relationships between 13 factors and the number of star-rated hotels were quanti?ed by regions classified by the Local Moran'sI. Results indicate that (1) counties with positive agglomeration were located south of the Pearl River Delta; (2) factors influencing hotel location choice varied across regions; and (3) attractions and urbanization do not always affect hotel location choices.
In order to make the user-level service composition feasible, a real-time service integration based on Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is put forward, which could execute a BPEL process by user's selection. By designing a system structure of real-time service integration based on BPEL, the difficulty waiting to figure out is summarized as the one-off recipient and keeping the business logic order unchanged. For illustration, the authors propose solutions on three aspects as message dependency, converting directed acyclic graph to workflow and the implicit message dependency. The results show that achieving one-off recipient should be accompanied by automatic processing all the data items entry inputting and listing the relevant recipients, together with real-time returning to the client after all the processes were completed. And if there is no data dependency between the processes selected, it should take the principle of parallel processing to reduce the overall process cycle; otherwise, it should be executed in order. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
The 3G technology brings a great increase of wireless data transmission capacity, makes it possible for mobile map services. The map service publishing method and data transmission rate directly affect the user experience effect. This paper has released different types and sizes of maps based on three environments, the simulator, TD-SCDMA and Wi-Fi, tested the time required for mobile map transmission, and used the Grubbs method for denoising. By the further analysis of map data transmission under different circumstances, it provides a reliable theoretical reference for efficiency improvement and further development of mobile map services.
Based on the characteristics of land resources information management, this research firstly designs a land resources cloud computing platform. Four main strategies, namely job scheduling, cloud cache pool, Map Reduce and resources-oriented techniques are then discussed in details. A prototype system named Land Cloud is then introduced, followed by two experiments which are conducted to test the performance of the system. The results show enough evidence of the usefulness of cloud computing services in managing land resources data.
Side-scan sonar is a remote sensing technology for submarine geological and geomorphological information detection, which provides acoustic imaging of the bottom at rates of up to several thousand square kilometers a day. How to manage so abundant and tremendous data has become a new problem, urgently needs to be resolved. As side-scan sonar image, also known as sonograph has an inherent geometric distortion which is so-called slant-range effect. Otherwise, the original side-scan sonar image is characterized as an order of scanning lines, without geographical position integrity and scalability. All this requirements and factors are considered and the correction of slant range distortions is outlined. This approach provides a management mechanism of raster catalog for series of sonar images of a surveying zone. Against the efficiency problem of massive image data storage, a spatial database engine is improved from such aspects as tile size setting, image resampling also called pyramid creation and spatial index establishment and so on, so as to enhance performance and improve access rate. The fact is that it archived an ideal response time and is proved to be more effective.
