The paper presents and analyzes methods for controlling bacterial and toxic contamination in goods subject to veterinary supervision. Using labelled nanometer-sized particles of gold, the method proves to be efficient in rapidly detecting Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Botulinum toxins in meat within 1-4 hours. For the first time, modifications were developed at the stage of sample preparation using Sephadex to concentrate toxins, increasing the detection sensitivity by 2-3 times.
The paper presents the results of a method based on RIDA®COUNT test systems for evaluating the microbial contamination in animal products. These test systems are used to demonstrate the possibility of evaluating bacterial contamination (total microbial contamination, the presence of fungi and yeast, E. Coli, S. Aureus, Salmonella bacteria) in artificially contaminated meat and fish products. The methods were developed and updated for evaluating microbial contamination and fungi based on the RIDA®COUNT test systems.
The article presents the results of research on the State task for 2020, aimed at ensuring the biological and food safety of animal products and feed; veterinary and sanitary and environmental well-being of animal husbandry. Fundamental research on the assessment of the toxicological hazard of fungi common in fodder crops deserves special attention, since they will allow monitoring the safety of fodder, including in emergency situations.
For veterinary practice, the antimicrobial agent "Cliodeziv" (the developer organization is Pharmpromvet LLC) in the form of a powder for use in the form of a fumigation aerosol is proposed. The product as an active substance contains 40% of crystalline iodine. During thermal sublimation, iodine vapors are formed, which have a high penetrating ability and sanitizing properties. Studies have been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of the "Cliodeziv" agent in the rehabilitation of poultry houses by determining the bacterial contamination of the air and the walls of the poultry house before and after treatment. It was found that the agent "Cliodeziv" has a pronounced bactericidal activity, since it causes a significant decrease in the microbial contamination of the air and walls of the poultry room. The total microbial contamination of the air in the poultry housing decreased by 64.9% and amounted to 202 CfU, compared to 575 CfU before the experiment. The bacteriological assessment of flushes from the wall surfaces showed a decrease in bacterial contamination by 65.1%, from 1100 CfU to 384 CfU after treatment. The drug "Cliodeziv" did not have a negative effect on the biochemical parameters of the bird's blood. Under the influence of the iodine included in the product, an increase in the level of metabolic processes was noted. By the end of the experiment, the total protein content in the blood serum increased by 16.2%; cholesterol decreased by 25.25%; glucose increased by 29.86%. The test agent promotes the activation of the antioxidant protection system of birds, the activity of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase increased by 40.71% by the end of the experiment. By the end of the experiment, AlAT decreased by 35%, AsAT decreased by 21.58%, which indicates a positive effect of the drug on the muscle tissue and productivity of poultry. The product "Cliodeziv" does not have a negative impact on the veterinary and sanitary indicators of poultry meat. Organoleptic and biochemical parameters of poultry meat confirmed its good quality.
The article presents the results of research work on the state order for 2020 on disinfection, including aerosol, and deratization. The prospects of fundamental research on the study of the effect of biological (bacteriophages) and chemical (chlorine-containing disinfectants) agents on biofilms of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms in order to select and evaluate new effective disinfectants are shown.
The article presents the material on current problems of veterinary sanitation, hygiene and ecology at the present stage. The importance of scientific research on the study of new highly effective environmentally safe means for disinfection of objects of veterinary surveillance is shown.
In conditions of pig-breeding complex evaluation of the effectiveness of immunotropic drugs PigStim-C and PigStim-M newborn piglets to implement the bio-resource potential productivity. It was established that immunotropic preparations of Pigs team-C and PigS team do not have a negative impact on the clinical and physiological state of the body, ensure the health and safety of pigs. Against the background of immunocorrection of piglets organism, the number of diseases decreased by 1.5–2.9 times, the reduction of recovery time by 11.4–23.5%, the increase of livestock safety to 98.0–100.0%. Immunocorrection of the organism of piglets in early postnatal period of ontogenesis of immune modulating drugs PigStim-C and PigStim-M contributes to the realization of bio-resource potential meat productivity. Slaughter weight of pigs against immunocorrection was higher than the control by 6.22 and 7.08 kg.
Scientifically substantiated and experimentally proved the feasibility of the zootechnical application of the developed biological products Prevention-N and Prevention N E in technology of beef production for the realization of bio-resource potential meat quality of calves of black-motley breed. Against the background of the use of biopreparations, activation of growth and development of bulls during cultivation, rearing and fattening was established, which led to higher slaughter and meat qualities of carcasses and, as a result, the yield of valuable cuts: spinogrudnogo – by 6.1 and 4.0 kg (P<0.01-0.001), lumbar – by 2.6 and 1.7 kg (P<0.05-0.01) and hip – by 8.6 and 7.1 kg (P<0.001). The quality of meat carcasses was proved by organoleptic, biochemical and spectrometric parameters and, consequently, the safety of the tested preparations. It was found that the implementation of the biological potential of the body of bulls due to the activation of hematopoiesis, cellular and humoral factors nonspecific resistance of biopreparations. The novelty of the obtained data is confirmed by the patents of the Russian Federation for invention № 2602687 and № 2622765 registered in the State register of inventions of the Russian Federation on 26.10.2016 and 19.06.2017, respectively.
This article presents the results of the prophylactic efficacy assessment of new probiotic agent Dipal for treating udder nipples in lactating cows after milking. It has been established that Biomastim for 5 weeks helps preventing clinical mastitis in 97.5%, subclinical mastitis in 90.4% and cracks in the udder’s nipples in 80.8% of cases. Also, the results of experiments on the use of Profmastit agent during the dry period in comparison with ProfilacDryOff are presented. As a result, it was found that with the use of Profmastit the incidence of cows with mastitis was reduced to 10% or by 3.4 times compared to the negative control, or by 1.6 times compared to the positive control, where the ProfilacDryOff was used.
Negative impact on the environment as a result of economic activity of man increasingly becomes the character of combined pollution of ecotoxicants, including xenobiotics of radiation and chemical nature. In animal husbandry in ecologically unfavorable regions, sorbtion-detoxication technologies based on the complex application of bioprotective substances of different origin are used to reduce the intake and accumulation of xenobiotics, to normalize the physiological state of animals and to obtain safe products. It is necessary to observe certain principles ensuring compatibility of components, a wide range of bioprotective action, efficiency and safety at their use in developing the compositions of such sorption-detoxifying complexes. The article substantiates the criteria that should be followed in creating sorption-detoxifying complexes and presents groups of drugs with different mechanisms of action (sorbents, antioxidants, immunomodulators, adaptogens and other biologically active substances) for inclusion in the formulations of combined compositions.
Effective modes and technology of aerosol disinfection of objects of veterinary supervision by preparation Abaldez were developed as the results of the tests.
