With the theory and aim of controlling forest pest,the paper analysed and researched the characteristics of Dendroctonus armandi,expounded controllable level and put forward strategy and method to control Dendroctonus armandi.

Analysis of the freezing damage caused by ice and snow in 2008 was made regarding its distribution and features.Measures for improvement in production as guidance were suggested in order to minimize the damage in future.
