In this paper,the theory of AGC,and two common approaches for AGC circuits are analyzed.The differences in linearity and noise performance between the two approaches are outlined,and the third-order intermodulation distortions are given.It also analyzes and compare the theory of AGC Amplifier and Multiplier.For practical purposes,this paper will be basic for the design of AGC circuits by analyzing and compare the AGC basic circuits.
