There is plenty of ground brine along the coastal line in Shandong Province. But previous studies mainly focused on the shallow ground brines in scattered places, and they are lack a systematic research about the ground brine in the province. Based on the previous achievements, the paper summarized the characteristics of the shallow, middle and deep buried ground brines, expounded the brine aquifer's property, genesis of brines and brine exploitation status quo. Investigated the environmental problems caused by brine exploitation.
Studies of the origin and evolution mechanism of groundwater in a type area not only have great significance for guiding the rational utilization and development of geothermal water resources but also provide important information for future geothermal resource exploration and evaluation.The authors studied the formation and evolution of geothermal water in the Dezhou hollow based on an analysis of the chemical composition,isotopes and hydrogeological characteristics of geothermal water in the area.The study shows that: the formation of the geothermal water is controlled by deep faults and basement structure in the area;the geothermal water is recharged by meteoric water,belonging to penetrating metamorphic water;the hydrochemical components consist predominantly of more soluble salts;and gas components are mainly marked by a mixture of components originating from the atmosphere,crust and mantle ultimate source is meteoric water-all these reflect the various hydrochemical processes in long-term run-off and deep circulation of groundwater.
The groundwater petroleum contaminant remediation effect by air sparging was investigated in an oil field. The results show that the soil geological situation has great influence on the air distribution, and the shape of air distribution is not symmetrical to the air sparging (AS) well as axis. The influence distance in the left of AS well is 6 m, and only 4 m in the right. The petroleum removal rate can reach 70% in the zone with higher air saturation, but only 40% in the zone with lower air saturation, and the average petroleum removal rate reaches 60% in the influence zone for 40 days continuous air sparging. The petroleum components in groundwater were analyzed by GC/MS (gas chromatogram-mass spectrograph) before and after experiments, respectively. The results show that the petroleum removal rate has relationship with the components and their properties. The petroleum components with higher volatility are easily removed by volatilization, but those with lower volatility are difficult to remove, so a tailing effect of lingering residual contaminant exists when the air sparging technology is adopted to treat groundwater contaminated by petroleum products.
The valley area of lower reaches of Jia he River is the most seriously intruded by seawater in Yantai City.Adopting traditional single index(Cl~-concentration classify) has some limitation for evaluating the degree of seawater intrusion.Comparing to this method,a mathematical fuzzy method is used in this paper.According to the characteristic of the groundwater quality intruded by seawater in the reaches of Jiahe River and the remarkable difference of characteristic ingredient between saltwater and freshwater,five indexes including Cl~-,M,SO~(2-)_4,rHCO_3/rCl and SAR are adopted to comprehensively evaluate the intrusive degree of groundwater.Maximal subordinated degree principal of fuzzy mathematics is used to evaluate the groundwater quality,and then fuzzy mathematics model is established.And the seawater intrusive degree of 11 typical monitoring points is evaluated in the three different years(1994,1999 and 2004).The results of evaluation indicate that primary zone of seawater intrusion is formed in 1990.It extends inwardly and shows zonal distribution along coast of Taozi Bay.The width of the zone is gradually declined inwardly.And the serious intrusion zone is centralized in the areas of strand plain and shows zonal distribution along coast.Evaluative result objectively reveals the temporal-spatial evolution characteristics of seawater intrusion of Jiahe River area in Yantai City.
Through analysis on monitoring datas of land subsidence thoroughly in Dongying district,it is concluded that the main factors caused the land subsidence are oil and gas exploration and ground water extraction in long time which caused depression of reservoir stress;while other factors,such as Cenozoic tectonic movement,rising elevation of the sea water,natural compaction of the unconsolidated soil and ground-loadings also play an important role.
