个人简介
Professor Dr. DENG Yan was born in 1973, Sichuan China. He got his B.Eng and Ph.D of Electrical Engineering in 1994 and 2000 respectively, both in Zhejiang University. After that, he became a faculty member of Power Electronics Research Institute and Department of Applied Elctronics in College of EE, Zhejiang University. He was the deputy director of the Institute from 2006-2014 and the vice dean of the Department from 2017. He was with Georgia Institue of Technology in Atlanta USA during 2007-2009 as a senior visiting scholar.
He has published more than 50 papers in domestic and international key journals / trasactions such as IEEE PE/IE, IET PE, and was enrolled with the writing of several important Chinese textbooks or mannuals in power electronics and electrical engineering. He was in charge of nearly 20 research projects, at least 5 of them are of national level such as the NSFC and 863 projects. He also won 3 awards from Provincial Government or Ministry of Education as a key research participants. He is the owner / co-owner of more than 10 Chinese patents of invention.
His research interests are mainly related with the topology and control of switch mode power conversions, spreading from high power converter, application of power electronics in power system, development of renewable energies, adoption of electric energy storages and specialized power supplies.
