个人简介
Research - Biomedical Engineering (Orthopaedics): I created the first microprocessor controlled prosthetic limb anywhere to be used in the field in 1988. I headed the team that put together the first bus based prosthetic limb and placed that in the field. I was part of the team to promote standards in prosthetic limb assessment and also communications standards in exo-prosthetics. I have worked in other areas of orthopaedic engineering: hip and knee arthroplasties, fracture mechanics and distraction osteogenesis.
I research in many aspects of the design and control of prosthetic and biomimetic limbs.
