In the past years, I have been working on developing specific image analysis methods to extract features associated with extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling, which is a common factor in several diseases. At Carleton, my research platform is combining the use of microscopy (especially nonlinear optical microscopy) and image analysis with 3D bioprinting, aiming to address questions related to cellular communication and repair of the ECM in abnormal mechano-environments.
