个人简介
Jason J. Gorman received the B.S. degree in aerospace engineering from Boston University in 1994, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 2000 and 2002, respectively. He is the Project Leader for Micro- and Nanoelectromechanical Systems (MEMS/NEMS) with the Physical Measurement Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He joined NIST in 2002 after being awarded the National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associateship. His current research interests inlcude radio frequency micro- and nanomechanical resonators, inertial sensors, photonic MEMS sensors, and microcavity optomechanics, with an emphasis on pushing the precision and accuracy of these systems to the fundamental limits. In support of this work, he is also developing new optical tools for characterizing the dynamics and vibrations of MEMS and exploring the nonlinear dynamics and control of MEMS to improve sensitivity.
