个人简介
Dr Sirpa Laitinen-Väänänen (PhD, MSc, BA and a Teacher Diploma) works as a Principal Researcher at Jamk University of Applied Sciences leading Jamk’s thematic research area Innovative Learning.
She has worked at Jamk at Vocational Teacher Education since 2007 as a Principal Lecturer and a teacher educator and an expert teaching at pre- and in-service teacher education nationally and transnationally, and conducting RDI-projects in Europe, South America, Kazakhstan, and Balkan area. In addition, she has worked as a researcher and lecturer at Jyväskylä and Luxembourg Universities.
Her research orientation is practice-based research and focuses broadly on learning and teaching on vocational and professional higher education and on professional expertise development.
Her current research projects focus on the collaboration between higher education and the world of work from teacher, student, and company’s perspective, on sense of community in online learning and interactions, and on the role on video-reflection in professional development.
She is an active member EAPRIL, a European research association on practice-based research on Learning and Professional Development and being elected as a Chair (2016-2018) and a board member (2014-2018) and a Cloud coordinator in Workplace learning and HRD -special interest group (2022- ). She is also an executive board member (2016-) at the Finnish Vocational Educational Research Association.
