Sailesh Ranjitkar is an accomplished agroecologist with a PhD in climate change and phenology. He developed competence in predicting the effects of climate change on biodiversity, agriculture, and climate change adaptation throughout his academic and professional career. He is currently working as an agroecologist for the N.Gene Solution of Natural Innovation and serving as a visiting faculty at the Lumbini Buddhist University School of Development Studies and Applied Sciences as well as the Mid-West University Institute of Cooperation and Development in Nepal. His professional career has lasted for more than 20 years. He served as the head of the Tree Diversity and Productivity Program at the World Agroforestry Center East and Central Asia, Kunming Institute of Botany from 2012 to 2020. Previous to that, he worked as a teacher at Bijeshwori Secondary School from 2001 to 2007 and as a lecturer at Khwopa College, Tribhuvan University, from 2007 to 2009. He worked on many projects involving medicinal plants, climate change, and way of life in the Himalayas from 2005 to 2012 as a consulting researcher, field researcher, and database manager. His study has advanced knowledge of climate change and its effects on forestry, agriculture, and biodiversity. The esteem of his peers and colleagues in the field of agroecology is a result of his commitment and hard work.
