I am currently working as a Senior Scientist in Crop Production Division in ICAR- National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha
Significant Contribution ( In bullets) :
• Developed a five panel customized leaf colour chart (CLCC) for N management in rice for different ecologies in collaboration with other scientist.
• Validation of MODIS LAI product (MOD15 V5) over trans Gangetic Plains of India
• Technology for Predicting Crop Biophysical Parameters using Inversion of Radiative Transfer Model for precision farming
• Vegetation Health Index developed for crop growth monitoring and precision farming
• Optimum tillage for improved soil physical condition and productivity of rice based cropping system
• Soil salinity and fertility map developed for coastal saline areas of Odisha
• Net ecosystem carbon budgeting employing the open path eddy covariance technique for Tropical lowland flooded rice paddies for the first time in India.
• Developed the Soil Quality Index and estimated the minimum data sets for assessing the production efficiency of tropical rainfed lowland rice-rice system
• Site specific nutrient management recommendations for salt affected areas
• Best nutrient management practices having moderate GHG emissions, sustaining rice yield and maintaining soil fertility in tropical flooded soils have been identified
• Developed a technology involving application of Fly ash as soil ameliorant and source of nutrients for rice cultivation
• Agro-technology for the management of iron toxicity in lowland iron rich rice soils developed
