Bio
Trevor R. Cameron (S’09) received the B.Sc. (with Distinction) and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada, in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with the Electromagnetics Group, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada.
He has worked in the areas of microstrip, waveguide, traveling-wave and leaky-wave antennas, as well as microwave tissue spectroscopy. His current research interests include periodic structures, metamaterials, metasurfaces, electromagnetic theory, and phased array antenna design, with a particular emphasis on wide-angle and wideband matching solutions.
Mr. Cameron was a recipient of the Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research of Canada in 2009, the Information and Communications Technology Graduate Scholarship by the Alberta Informatics Circle of Research Excellence in 2010, and the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada in 2012. He received an Honorable Mention in the Student Paper Competition at the 2015 IEEE AP-S Symposium on Antennas and Propagation. He has been a reviewer for several journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, since 2011. From 2009 to 2011, he acted as the Antennas and Propagation Liaison for the Southern Alberta Communications, Microwave Theory and Techniques, and Antennas and Propagation Societies Chapter under the guidance of Prof. E. Fear.
