Bio
Sang Bok Kim received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea, in 2002, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
He held a postdoctoral position at the Tissue Engineering Laboratory, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA, where he was involved in the development of cell-based biosensor and low-cost biosensors. He is currently a Senior Researcher with the Department of Eco-Machinery, Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), Daejeon, South Korea. His research interests include optical sorting/manipulation of micro-objects, aerosol detection/measurement using optical techniques, and environmental monitoring sensors. He also has a general interest in the areas of multiphase flow, micro/opto-fluidics, indoor air quality control, and computational fluid dynamics.
