Piera Patrizio is a Research Associate at the Centre for Environmental Policy in the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Imperial College London. She is also a guest researcher at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), where she is collaborating with the Ecosystems Services and Management Program.
She currently works on the EU Horizon 2020 NEGEM project, which goal is to assess the realistic potential of Negative Emission Technologies and Practices (NETPs) and their contribution to climate neutrality.
Her current research focus on connecting insights from energy modelling with social science and climate policy and include the assessment of socio-economic impacts of energy systems decarbonization and low-carbon technologies deployment.
Piera Patrizio holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and an MSc in Industrial Engineering, both from the University of Udine, Italy. Before joining the Centre for Environmental Policy, she held a Research Scholar position at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA, Austria).
