个人简介
Most of my research is focused on the understanding of the response of pre-existant landslides to future earthquakes. This includes understanding how pre-existant landslides may be affected by site effects and how these site effects may contribute to the triggering of earthquake-induced landslides in seismic areas. To address such a topic, I mainly use numerical modelling (finite difference in 2D and 3D) and I try to compare the results of numerical simulations in terms of expected co-seismic displacements with more conventional methods (in particular, Newmark sliding block method which is still the reference tool to assess the seismic behaviour of slopes).
