个人简介
Through the experimental work in my PhD I obtained important in-depth knowledge of how a composite used for wind turbine blade fails in fatigue, and what can be done to improve them. This knowledge was further deepened through modeling in collaboration with Chalmers University. In Japan, my research field was expanded to alternative methods to bond a composite material to other materials and what mechanisms makes them strong. Together with my team we developed novel high strength bonding solutions utilizing a nano-structure between the surfaces. In addition, we developed a patented test method. Now back at DTU Wind Energy and Systems in Denmark, I am striving to utilize my knowledge obtained across fields to develop new sustainable material solutions for wind turbine blades. Separable and re-bondable interfaces for reuse, repair, modulization, upgradability, and recycling of composite materials is an upcoming field where I am hoping to be on the forefront.
