Giacomo Zuccon, born in Treviso (TV), Italy, on February 13th, 1996, is a dedicated Ph.D. Student with a passion for advancing the field of Mechanical Engineering and medical robotics. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Padua (Italy) in September 2018 and continued with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which he earned with a perfect score in September 2020 from the same institution.
His Master's thesis, titled "Portable Mechatronic Cable-Driven Device for Upper-Limb Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients," demonstrated his expertise in mechatronic systems and their application in healthcare. Under the guidance of Prof. Giulio Rosati, Giacomo showcased a seamless integration of theory and practical solutions.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova, Giacomo focuses on designing advanced mechatronic devices for upper limb rehabilitation in stroke patients. This exemplifies his dedication to impactful research that directly benefits individuals with neurological conditions.
Giacomo's skills encompass structural design, CAD software, Matlab and Arduino programming, and finite element analysis. His proficiency extends to managing hardware and software informatics. Additionally, he is adept with 2D/3D CAD tools like Solidworks, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Creo.
