I became interested in pursuing research during my bachelor's when I started studying microbes. Until then I had only seen people affected by infectious diseases but later on, I started developing ideas for treatment & early detection of microbial diseases. In 2016 I wrote a proposal on making a biosensor device which led me to win the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship for my Master's. I address myself as a lab-oriented person, most of the time I'm inside it spending time with fellow researchers to learn different techniques. I have studied adipogenesis with stem cells in my doctoral work. Whenever getting time and responsibility, I taught juniors about my experiments. As a microbiology graduate, I love the idea to study them to know human evolution and using them for human benefit. Working on a sensor device-making (with nanobody) in Pillai lab, Harvard Medical School to be used in the making of diagnosing devices for covid-like viruses opened a new genre for me in immunology and diagnostics. I’m familiar with most of the techniques, and instruments used in a wet lab. With a few publications until today, I hope to publish some more by the end of this year from my research. My interest lies in the detection, study & treatment of diseases like cancer, & the synthesis of whole organs & blood in vitro. I love to work in groups and, am self-sufficient to work alone as well. I have acquired leadership & good communication skills through years of interactions with lab mates from different countries.
