Dr. Xiang Li studied and worked in Zhejiang University, Case Western Reserve University and Columbia University successively. Mainly engaged in the development of molecular tools for nervous system regulation and the mechanism and early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases. He is the main researcher of "Optogenetic Technology" and "Chemical Genetic Technology". These molecular tools are widely used in mechanistic and technical studies on the regulation, intervention and remodeling of neural circuits. During his postdoctoral period, he carried out a series of researches related to neurodegenerative diseases. Through the study of prion-similar proteins, it was first discovered in the world that different prion-similar proteins can form functional and passable macromolecular complexes, which are useful for the research and treatment of various prion-similar protein-related neurodegenerative diseases. provides a new direction. After joining Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology in 2016, relying on the Institute of Brain Cognition and Brain Diseases, he is mainly engaged in the development of central injury and repair technologies. At present, the research direction of the research team includes "Central Injury and Rehabilitation Technology" and "Early Detection Technology of Alzheimer's Disease". So far, he has published 20 articles as the first author or co-author, and the published articles have been cited more than 3000 times.
