My research focuses on pathogen characterization, plant disease diagnosis, host plant resistance to fungal and nematode diseases, soil-borne diseases and exploiting local beneficial pathogens for their biocontrol potential. Ultimately I work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and promote climate-smart technologies and products to protect food crops from biotic stress, improve soil health and productivity of smallholder farmers.
