His research interests include smart city technology, multi-source data fusion, big data mining, and citizen travel pattern mining. He has published more than 50 international top/famous conferences and periodicals such as IEEE Network, Sensors, TKDE, KDD and Engineering, and won one second prize of national science and technology invention, two provincial and ministerial science and technology first prizes, and eight invention patents. He realized the urban traffic information service system based on mobile detector data in the world for the first time which has a large-scale application in the field of the management, programming and services of the urban traffic. As the project leader or main R&D personnel, he participated in the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Nuclear High-Level National Major Project, the National 973 Program Vertical Project, and several horizontal projects, which promoted computer science and traffic engineering interdisciplinary development of computer science and economics in recent years. He also opened the course ‘Discrete Mathematics’ for undergraduates.
