Career Trajectory
Bio
Corrado de Lisio was born in Naples on 14 August 1961.
On June 17, 1988 he graduated in Physics at the University of Naples with a grade of 110/110 cum laude defending a thesis entitled: "Nonlinear effects in vibrational relaxation in highly excited Freon-12 molecules".
On April 1, 1989 he got a one-year scholarship by the National Interuniversity Consortium for the Physics of Matter (INFM), on the theme "high energy picosecond laser sources".
In February 1990 he passed the admission exam to the PhD course in Physics (5th cycle) at the University of Naples.
In March 1993 he was the winner of the competition for a post as a University Researcher announced by the University of Naples "Federico II".
In March 1993 he won a competition as a university researcher at the University of Napoli “Federico II”. On 26 July 1993 he became University Researcher.
On September 28, 1993 he obtained the PhD title defending the thesis “Non-resonant multiphoton processes in rare gas atoms”.
In March 1996 he obtained a scholarship granted by the European Union as part of the "Research Training Grants - Training and Mobility of Researchers" program for a duration of 6 months. He spent this research period at the “Lund Institute of Technology” in Lund (Sweden). The research carried out during this period was focused on the physics of atoms in ultra-intense fields, with particular regard to the generation of very high order harmonics of the primary laser radiation.
In January 2002 he obtained the eligibility as Associate Professor for the disciplinary group B03X - Structure of the Matter, at the University of Messina.
On November 1, 2002, he became Associate Professor at his university, (Scientific-Disciplinary Sector FIS / 03 - Physics of Matter) and for the full-time regime.
On 30 March 2018 he got the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor for the sector 02/B1 - Experimental Physics of Matter.
On 1 October 2020 he became Full Professor at his university, with an option for the full-time regime and adherence to the Scientific-Disciplinary Sector FIS / 03 - Physics of Matter - sector: 02/B1.
Scientific interests: Multiphoton processes in polyatomic molecules, Detection of gravitational waves, Non-linear processes in the interaction of atoms with ultra-intense laser fields (Multiphoton ionization, Generation of harmonics in gas, Pulsed-laser deposition), Time-resolved spectroscopy (Plasmas produced by laser pulses, Characterization of carbonaceous materials produced in combustion processes, Ultra-fast dynamics of carriers and phonons in metals, semiconductors and superconductors, Dynamics of formation and optical properties of melanin films), Orbital angular momentum of light, Quantum optics, Quantum communications.
