Huan Chen

Huan Chen earned a B.S. (2009) and Ph.D. (2013) in microbiology from Chongqing University. From 2014 to 2015, he worked as an assistant professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai, where he studied molecular interactions between hosts and microbes. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship from 2016 to 2021 at Harvard Medical School before beginning work in the area of benign urological diseases. He is currently a professor at Southwest Medical University and his research focuses on molecular interactions between bladder and uropathogens, bladder epithelial sensory function, and the molecular mechanisms of ketamine cystitis.
