Bio
Michael Q. Chen received the B.S. degree in bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego, in 2005, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in bioengineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. His Ph.D. thesis focused on in vitro models of cardiac stem cell grafts to study the electrophysiologic aspects of integration with host tissue.
He was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. in 2009, he joined the research group at Robert Bosch Corporation, Palo Alto, CA, as an intern, where he engaged in research on developing medical diagnostic devices for use at the point of care. He is currently a Product Engineer at Theranos, Inc.
