个人简介
Eric Coyle received the B.S. degree in ME Clemson University 2006 and Ph.D. degree in ME Florida State University 2010. He is currently an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), Daytona Beach, FL, USA, where he has been employed since 2011. He is also the Director of the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Lab, Lead Advisor of the Maritime RobotX Challenge team, a Co-Advisor to six other robotic student competition teams, and the Head of the Robotics track within the Mechanical Engineering Program at ERAU. His research focuses on machine learning, signal processing, autonomy, and unmanned system design.
Dr. Coyle has been PI or Co-PI on research efforts funded by ONR, TARDEC, FDOT, and multiple industry partners. Some of his current research projects include developing situational awareness for USVs, multidomain sensor fusion, and the use of stochastic methods for path planning based on vehicle dynamics.
