个人简介
She has conducted extensive research in Cambodia (2001-2003, 2010) on the topics of memory, morality, and recovery from war and genocide. Her book, Forest of Struggle: Moralities of Remembrance in Upland Cambodia published by University of Hawaii Press in 2013, tracks the recovery of a village community in Cambodia’s southwest, a site that was a Khmer Rouge base and battleground for nearly thirty years. She is also currently working on projects on the topics of liberalism, social change, virtual mediums of memory, impacts of digital mediums on mass violence and its aftermaths, and material culture and memory. She is an adjunct research associate at Columbia University’s Weatherhead Center for East Asian Studies, and holds affiliations with the Council for Southeast Asian Studies at Yale University and the Southeast Asia Program at Cornell University. She serves as a board member for the Southeast Asian Council (SEAC) and the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS).
