Career Trajectory
Bio
Francesco Guidi was born in Elba Island, Italy, in 1964. He received his Master's degree in electronics engineering from the University of Florence, Italy.
He first worked in a national company on the design of a real-time, radiologic image processing system. In 1991 he joined the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), Florence, Italy, where he was involved in the design of real-time software for solid state particle detectors located at Conseil European pour la Recherche Nucleaire (CERN) collider (ALEPH project).
Since 1992, he has had a position at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department of the University of Florence, where he is engaged in research on ultrasound Doppler techniques and mainly in the design of digital signal processing systems for biomedical applications.
He is currently working on his Ph.D. degree. His current research interests include the development of real-time methods for ultrasound blood flow estimation and the investigation of acoustic properties of ultrasound contrast agents.
