个人简介
I am a biotechnologist with expertise in molecular and cellular neuroscience. I developed my Ph.D. thesis work at the Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology lab, run by Prof. Scorticati, at the IIBio_UNSAM-CONICET Institute, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prof. Scorticati’s laboratory is dedicated to study and understand the molecular and biological basics of neuronal plasticity in the central nervous system (CNS). My research was focused on the study of molecular interactions between M6a [a CNS neuronal protein] and various synaptic proteins. This allowed me to developed my expertise in cellular culture of neurons from the CNS. Also, I developed methods in different and complementary areas of science to study protein-protein interactions: biochemical studies, histological analysis, confocal microscopy and imaging analysis. Moreover, I also focused my research on proteomics, bioinformatics and experimental validation assays to study protein-proteins interactions. To explore this further, I did a training internship in the laboratory of Dr. Monje, a Schwann cell expert, in year 2021, to study the biology of peripheral glial cells and non-glial cells. I studied these types of cells in vitro, by performing cellular cultures and cell-based assays.
