My PhD research was on the pathogenesis of hypertension in hypertensive congenic rat model. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) plays the regulatory role in activation of sympathetic nervous system (SNS) in the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) of hypertensive rats. We reported that NADPH oxidase (Nox) are responsible for the high level of ROS in RVLM in SHRSP, that are responsible for the exaggerated sympathetic response to glutamate (Glu) in the RVLM in hypertensive model rat (Zahid et al, Sci. Rep., 2016).
Therefore, my further research interest is to avail any scientific /research works on the relevant topics with my PhD study (neural and renal hypertension, stroke, ischemia, vascular biology etc.).
