个人简介
While myelination is strongly related with our improved cognitive, motor and social skills, its disruption is related to several neurological pathologies and also with age-related cognitive decline. Driven by the human well-being and extension of life expectancy, my research aims to provide basic knowledge able to contribute to the development of new drug discovery programs aimed at enhancing remyelination and/or modulation of myelin protection in neurodegenerative diseases and aging.
