个人简介
Imre Kalló was born in Vonyarcvashegy, Hungary, in 1962. He received the Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of Pécs, Pécs, Hungary, in 1987, and the D.Phil. degree from Szent-Györgyi Albert Medical University, Szeged, Hungary, in 1999.
He started research in the neuroendocrine field as a student at the Anatomy Department, Medical University of Pécs. He was involved in teaching topographical anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy at the Medical University of Pécs from 1983 to 1993, Medical University of Szeged, Szeged, from 1993 to 1997, and King’s College London, London, U.K., in 1999. During his pre-and postdoctoral years, he gained experience in various neuroanatomical and neurobiological techniques at the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience, Rutgers: The State University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, USA, and the Department of Anatomy, Cell and Human Biology, School of Biomedical Sciences, King’s College London. In 2002, he joined the Laboratory of Endocrine Neurobiology Group, Institute of Experimental Medicine, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, Hungary, and the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest, where he is currently a Reader. His current research interests include studying neuronal networks at high-resolution microscopic and electron microscopic levels.
