She is the president of CleveTheoComp LLC. She oversees all the operations at CleveTheoComp. She is responsible for all communications, main decisions and management aspects, including team building and partnerships creation. She sets the direction of the company providing leadership, setting strategy and vision, and creation of the company's culture.
Dr. Jane S. Murray received a B.S. in chemistry from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana. Since 1989 she has been working together with Peter Politzer, first at the University of New Orleans, and more recently at CleveTheoComp LLC based in Cleveland, Ohio.
She has experience in research and administration, as a grant administrator, events organizer, managing projects, and several years of experience building and managing teams. She has lead teams of experienced and talented professionals through an ever evolving and changing work environment and through the twists and turns of research and development projects.
Dr. Murray's research areas of expertise include computation and analysis of electrostatic potentials and average local ionization energies on molecular surfaces (and in other regions of space as are of interest), and the study of chemical reactions via reaction force analysis. In recent years, she has been a leader in theoretical investigations of halogen bonding and other related directional noncovalent interactions. She is passionate about research, innovation, and collaboration and has built collaborations with researchers in Europe and South America, as well as in North America.
Dr. Murray has over 200 publications in international journals, and has benefited from the many fruitful collaborations she established. She has authored and co-authored books and book chapters in computational chemistry and related subjects. She is an active member of the American Chemical Society and the International Society of Quantum Biology and Pharmacology.
