Fennifer Wan has spent the last 14 years at The University of Hong Kong researching on the relationship of dietary lipids and cancer and Chinese medicine. Currently, she is involves in the application of proteomic tech-nology for biomarkers discovery in the field of cancer, renal disease and Chinese medicine. She is the author of over 107 articles in international journals, book chapters and has supervised more than 20 research postgraduate students. Jennifer Wan has been heartedly involved in academic curriculum design for the school of biological
sciences as well as for the University as a whole. She serves as a committee member in the Curriculum and Time-Table Committee of the Faculty of Science, and a member of the think tank for the 4-year Curriculum Reform Committee of The University of Hong Kong. In addition to help dissimate knowledge of nutrition and health, the other major goal and academic contribution of Jennifer Wan is to promote and advance the under-standing of Traditional Chinese Medicine to the west via her research and teaching. Jennifer Wan has also been
accepted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as Talent bank of women with international societal expertise (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organiza-tion (UNESCO) (Nominated by the Faculty of Science, 2004).
