个人简介
Dr Tan’s research background is centred on evidence-based integrative oncology. He has published more than 60 articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals and has participated in over 15 research projects as either principal investigator or co-investigator. Dr Tan currently holds full membership in five international/national healthcare associations, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC), the Cochrane Collaboration, the Cancer Nurse Society of Australia (CNSA), and the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). He has also been serving as one of the committee members for the CNSA Northern Territory and North Queensland Group, and the Young Scholar Committee of the China Anti-Cancer Association Nursing Division. Dr Tan has been a member of the STTI international peer review panel for research grant applications since 2018. He currently serves as an Academic Editor for Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and a member of the international review panel for several internationally renowned journals including International Journal of Nursing Studies, Complementary Therapies in Medicine, European Journal of Oncology Nursing, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice, Oncology Nursing Forum, International Nursing Review, and International Journal of Nursing Sciences.
Research interests
Associate Professor Benjamin Tan would be willing to accept PhD and Master by Research students in areas of cancer symptom management, integrative medicine, and evidence-based practice for chronic disease management.
