个人简介
My passion involves understanding human movement disorders due to musculoskeletal disease processes and developing rehabilitative (both operative and non-operative) treatment solutions for patients.
Currently, as an Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center, I am developing computational models to assess the specific corrosion modes of total hip replacements leading to adverse local tissue reactions. The goal of this research is to drive new manufacturing, quality control, and preclinical testing methods leading to increased implant life time, better patient well-being, and reduce healthcare costs associated with total hip replacement revision surgeries and complications.
I am an avid believer in collaborating with a broad cohort/team of experts. Working with orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists and engineers has allowed me to acquire a broad skill set and build unique communication skills.
Ultimately, my goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of patients and contribute to what we understand about musculoskeletal diseases and how they develop, while also being a good mentor for the next-generation scientists to tackle tomorrow's problems.
